<li>简单序列长度多态性（SSLP：Simple Sequence Length Polymorphism）：是一系列不同长度的重复序列，不同的等位基因含有不同数目的重复单位。
<ul>
<li>小卫星（minisatellite，也称variable number of tandem repeat，VNTR）:可变数目的串联重复，重复单位长度为几十个核苷酸；</li>
<li>微卫星（simple sequence repeat,SSR）：重复单位较短，通常为二、三或四核苷酸单位，重复次数一般为10-50<br />

<li>单核苷酸多态性（SNP：Single Nuceotide Polymorphism）： 基因组中存在单个碱基的突变，且数量极大，这种单核苷酸的差异，可以最大限度的揭示基因组的遗传多样性（在人类基因组中平均每1.3kb就有一个SNP存在）<br />
